The Challenge


A local government organization in East Bay sought to upgrade the IT assistance it was providing to its employees in light of the retirement of a long-time IT manager and the inconsistent performance of numerous outside IT consultants the agency recruited. 


This organization's internal police department, which has high-security requirements for configuring its technological infrastructure, was concerned that the previous IT providers would not be able to assure that they stayed compliant with federal government standards. The Agency was also technologically behind and used various computers with Microsoft operating systems close to their end of life.



The Solution


After a thorough RFP process and consultation with other Precision IT Consulting clients in the Local Government sector, the agency decided to work with them.


Today, Precision IT Consulting offers

These services include Strategic IT Services to assist with budgeting and planning, IT Security Services to guarantee the Agency complies with federal regulations, and Onsite and Remote Support to help with ongoing support requests and technology upgrades.

The Result


All of the agency's outdated hardware has been upgraded, security has been strengthened to prevent security flaws that may make the news, end-user happiness has increased, and the time it takes to address a technical request has decreased. 


Additionally, the Agency is now transferring essential applications and infrastructure to the cloud and is better equipped to plan initiatives for the forthcoming fiscal years.
